For starters goblins differ a lot from orcs and even orcs have mentions of being old, Gorfang Rotgut mentions it a handful of times in the warlords of Karak Eight Peaks series, with him being an orc of over 200 years old. I kinda hate that damned book for this stupid quote. There's even fluff about their spores as having hitched a ride with the vessels of the Old Ones (who are the same in both universes). And yes, 40K and WHFB greenskins were at a point made unified. There are even stories of ancient orcs who have grown to become giants with incredible intellects.
So, no, the novel Skarsnik should not be considered loreful where it obviously contradicts all standing lore.Īlso, Greenskins have been repeatedly confirmed in actual game-books to not die of old age or get old. Trolls and Greenskins are separate species. There's even a Goblin-Troll hybrid in it ****. That novel, while amusing, is pretty terrible when it comes the author actually knowing WTF he is talking about. They probably don't even have the proper bits down there. Greenskins haven't been capable of breeding in the lore for a very long time. It comes from ONE SINGLE NOVEL where goblins are also being described as creatures that **** human women.
